Soakin' up the SUN!

yay!!!! The sun is FINALLY shining and summer is officially here!!! We have been spending most of our waking moments outside enjoying the sun while it lasts! WAHOO! I think we have visited every singe park in town at least once in the last few weeks. One cool thing about where we live is that there are soooo many parks here. More than any place I have ever lived.

WE LOVE SUMMER----BRING IT ON BABY!!!

One of our friends from school works for an inflatable rentals place. He brought one home and let us come play. It was so much fun to have our own private place to play for the entire evening! The kids jumped and played until they were beyond tired. We had a BBQ, watched kids be crazy and talked with awesome friends. Us parents enjoyed having them "caged" for awhile and they didn't even know it! :) Thanks Larsens!!!!

Last to get HITCHED

So my little brother Jeffy got married back in May. It was a blast to go home and see family and friends that we haven't seen is so long. Jaden and Sadie basically enjoyed clicking the glasses together, eating out of the chocolate fountain, decorating the car--and playing with cousins of course! We are so happy to have Lenie join our family. She is such an awesome girl and we just love her to death! It seems crazy that everyone is married now, but super fun too. The best part of the day, (besides the bride and groom tying the knot) was the kids all dressed up. Sadie loved dressing up like a princess and Jaden was quite the ladies man in his tux. All the grandkids sang, You are my Sunshine during a little program. Very cute!

Weenie Roast "Campout"

So, we went out to Oregon for Matt's clinicals and for Jeffy's wedding. (I'll post about the wedding later) Well, the weather was just amazing most the whole 3 1/2 weeks we were there. The kids got to spend a ton of time outside and playing with tons of cousins.

Uncle Darrell is the coolest, and always thinks of fun ways to spoil the rest of us. He made this to die for homeade ice cream. MMMMmmm. This is the best kind of what I call, "camping". I love to be outside, but I say, why on earth would I go sleep outside and be stinky dirty when I can sleep in a soft bed?!? Especially with a bunch of little kids! So, this was the greatest night. Brats, smores and a good old fashioned campfire....and then go home and get in bed!

MATT'S GRADUATION, WAHOOOOO

So, Matt is almost officially done with school! Yeah! He has to finish some clinicals but in early fall he will be done. I am more than excited, don't get me wrong--the student life keeps you young somehow, but I am super excited to have a more "normal"adult life--and hopefully a more "normal" adult paycheck! Check out that cool graduation cap!!! I couldn't be more proud of Matt and his accomplishments. He has worked incredibly hard for this, studied during every second of spare time he has had, even despite a few challenges, setbacks--and not to mention 2 new kids! WOW! He is sooo cool!

Matt was in the very front row of over 900 graduates. Since physical therapy is the only Doctorate offered at his school, they were first to walk. By the way, 900 names was a LOOONG time to sit through....

We had to keep the tradition of the leis even if Matt was a little shy. When we graduated in Hawaii, we had so many we could barely see through them--but this is all I came up with. This pic was at the banquet that followed the graduation. There was a dinner and then a little program and a dance. It was a great, and long day. We then headed out to Oregon the very next morning. I cannot even say how proud of Dr. Davis I am! Yeah!
