Birthday Girls!!!

Earlier this month my momma turned (well she would kill me if I told but...) something that rhymes with pixty. She refused a big to do, but we had fun with her, taking her for an afternoon on the jet boats and then to our FAV Hawaiian place in Portland, Noho's. Mmmm that place is the BEST EVER if you are ever in SE! Jaden got to go on the boats too and had a total blast.....even though her b-day did fall on the ONLY rainy day this summer!!!While everyone was out on the water, these two played at OMSI. They had a total blast together---
We look a little flat after being drenched in water....but had an awesome afternoon. Happy Birthday Mom!!! XOXOXO
This little guy also turned 5 1/2. Now that we have celebrated one 1/2 b-day, we have gotten nagged to celebrate his. Silly guy. Have I ever told you how much I love this little boy???
Last Saturday we also celebrated my baby's 2nd Birthday! I honestly can't believe she is two. Malia is such a fun little girl. She loves life, loves to laugh and brightens my life. I love her more than anything.

We took her to build-a-bear, cause she has been wanting a kitty. So, since birthday girls get what they want, we had to get a kitty. She walks around with kitty many times a day saying "meoooww" over and over. Such a cutie.

Happy Birthday, Leelee!!!

OH, What do you do in the summertime???

YIKES! Lots to post about. Well, plenty of soakin' up the sun and busy days around here! We are lucky to live in such a gorgeous area. Don't you just love being able to spend so much time outside???
One of our trips exploring Silver creek falls

One weekend we got to go visit Matt's bros family and their cute kids......
Malia and Ami
Jaden loungin in their backyard
the battle wound Calvin came away with.....maybe he can repay Malia the favor one of these days.
SO, this may be almost too embarrassing to post, but we celebrated Sadie's half birthday. Okay, weird, I know, but we were looking for a good reason to give Sadie a new bike, and thought we may as well make a party out of it. C'mon, you have to admit, Christmas b-days are kinda a drag.....
Sadie and this bike have become INSEPARABLE!!!! She would seriously sleep with it if she could. She tells complete strangers about it, and even said to some police we saw at the park today, "did you know I have a princess bike at home???" If I ever can't find her, she is often in the garage just sitting on it! Love this girl!

So this place is completely nostalgic for me. Some of my great childhood memories came from going to enchanted forest. Good thing my kids love it cause they would probably have to go weather they like it or not!

{Tried to tell Jaden we weren't going to D-land, but he insisted on wearing the ears. Whatever.... }
Let Freedom Ring!

Yay for the 4th, one of my fav holidays. We had a day filled to the brim! My awesome brother in law got up at 5:30 am to save us some awesome parade spots--in the shade.
Front row seats+lots of candy+shade=A totally fun time!!
Then, we went to my sisters for a BBQ and b-day party for my niece.
Here we are waiting for the fireworks while the boys were all out watching some stock car dirt racing or whatever it is called before the fireworks.
(My mom, sister, our girls, and my awesome cousin, Sara)
WOWZERS this is a lot of pics.
Jaden going absolutely NUTS at a spray park here in town, and I mean NUTS!

So, after trying to teach this kid the mouse for at least forever and a day, he finally figured it out....so I have time to get my get my bathrooms clean....or something like that....they have spent a total of about 3 minutes playing but it was nice while it lasted.

The local fair....believe it or not they liked the animals better than the rides!?! They actually sat through a bunny judging contest, that lasted like a half hour! I never could figure out what they are judging when they are looking at a bunch of bunnies?

And of course---plenty of this. My beautiful dreamers!!

Hope you're having a wonderful SUMMER!!!

DAVIS DOES DISNEY!!!!

What an AMAZING time we had at Disneyland!!! We had a blast!!! I sound like a brag but the kids were sooo good and made it so fun for mom and dad too. Sadie was able to meet all of her favorite princesses and was in heaven! Jaden was a star and went on every ride he was tall enough for (almost every one!) And our little fearless Malia was awesome, despite no naps. She loved the rides and waved and said "hi" to anything that jumped out at her!

We also got to spend some time at Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Long Beach! Oh how we love a WARM beach!!!! I am already ready to plan our next trip!!!

SAND SURF AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Well, for the first time in forever, Matt and I got to go away to the beach with no kids!!! It was so fun. Matt's bro's and sis gave us a gift card to stay in a fancy schmancy hotel plus restaurant gift cards. We had a blast using them up--though I ate so much I feel like a whale! Above was the view from our room. This pic is kinda bad, but it was so pretty and you could see the whole lake/ocean. On the other side of the mile long bridge is Washington. Of course, we also had to visit the Astoria column from the goonies. The stairs are being replaced so we couldn't go inside.
We came back to celebrate easter with the kiddy kats. Of course they had a blast and got WAAAAY too much candy.
The best thing about Easter was it was also Daddy's birthday!!! Matt had a great day (I think) and we had a blast with family.
Chocolate' cake per Matt's request....

Just a joke gift for Matt's b-day. He was a super good sport....would I really buy my husband a pink watch??? He thought maybe....
Matt is such a great husband and daddy. Happy Birthday Matt. We sure love ya!!!

Happy Easter, Ya'll!!!

Singapore, Snowmen and Scooters.....

This week, Matt's parents are off to a humanitarian mission in Singapore! Malaysia-Borneo actually. We have been lucky to spend some time with them to say hasta for 18 months. We are so super excited for them, and can't wait to hear what cool things they are doing and seeing!!!

We'll miss you!!!

We had one last winter hurrah last week....amazingly enough to build a snowman and take the sled out. It actually seemed nice and pretty balmy out for snow! The best part was that it melted by the evening. YAY!!!!

My Snow Angel

Crazy Cat--actually snowball monster---pickin fights with me

Couldn't get this one off the sled if my life depended on it!!!

Just a pic of the kiddos rockin the scooters a few days ago when my sister came to visit.
Happy Spring!!!
